Better today. Tummy is still upset but vomitting has thankfully ceased. Our Author-in-residence expounded on some of the great truths of writing and revealed the secret handshake to the unenlightened [just joking - honest] before distributing manuscripts for us to critique. Two brave participants had written something since arriving (Joe arrived on Wed. and thus had a head start). I plea illness as my excuse for not even starting a story yet.

We have been asked/cautioned to keep our journals discreet and respectful of others but I think I can say the following without stepping on anyone's toes: Joe Murphy looks, walks, etc. so much like Joe Cunningham that it's freaky. I need to find someone here that can get a picture of Joe online (both of them, actually) and do a comparison. Admittedly, the Joe at Clarion has less gray hair than the Joe in Indiana. However, I bet that if we shuffled the photos in a deck, friends would be a little confused about whether this was a younger and slightly thinner Joe Cunningham or Joe Murphy. The only way to be sure is to examine the tattoos and body piercings.
