Samuel Carter Deed to Isaac Carter
This indenture made the Twelfth day of the Third Month in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Forty One between Samuel Carter of the County of Guilford and State of North Carolina of the one part and Isaac Carter of the County and State aforesaid of the other part. Witness forth that for and in consideration of the sum of Four Hundred & Fifty Dollars to the said Samuel Carter in hand paid, the receipt to where of he doth hereby acknowledge and therefore doth release, acquit and discharge the Said Isaac Carter his executrs and Administrators, by these presents, he the said Samuel Carter hath granted bargained, sold, aliched, confirmed and conveyed and by these presents doth grant bragain, sell, alien, confirm and convey unto the said Isaac Carter and his heirs a certain piece or parcel of land lying and being in the county of Guilford and State of aforesaid, bouned as followeth Beginning at Jonamiah Taggot corner a Stone and Turning North 69 degrees East on his line One Hundred and Sixty Thre poles to a Stone in Piggotts line, Thence North 24 degrees West 60 3/4 poles to a Stone, Thence South 66 degrees West 5 1/3 poles to a Stone, Thence North 24 degrees West 21 poles to a Stone, Thence North 47 degrees West 60 poles to a Post and to Solomon Kendall corner. Thence West 34 poles to a Black Jack, Thence South forty poles to a White Oak. Thence West still on Kendall line Thirty poles to a Black Jack - Kendall corner. Thence South Thirty Six poles to a white oak saplin in John Wheeler line, thence west with his line to his corner, Thence South with his line to Zackel Mendenhalls now Samuel Hunts corner Thence with Samuel Hunts line Sixty nine poles to the Beginning. Containing by supposition Ninety Three Acres,, be the same more or less -- To have and to hold the same, hereby conveyed and all and Singular other the promises hereby bargained and Sold and every part and parcel thereof, with their and ever of their appartenances unto the said Isaac Carter and his Heirs and afigns forever, to the only profits use and behoof of him. The Said Isaac Carter and his Heirs and afsigns forever. And the Said Isaac Carter for his Heirs, Executors and administators, doth convenant to and with the Said Isaac Carter his Heirs and afisns, by these presents, that the said Samuel Carter, now and t the time of Sealing and deliverinig these presents is signe of goods, sure, perfect and indefisible Estate of Inheritance in fee simple of and in the promises hereby bargained and sold and that he has goo power and lawful and absolute authority to grante and convey the same to the Said Isaac Carter in manner and for aforesaid and that the said promises, now are and so forever shall remain and be free from all gifts, grants, bargains, sales, dower, right and Title of Dower, Judgments, Executions, Titles, Taxables, Charges and incumbrances Whatsoever, made, done, committed or suffered by the Said Samuel Carter or any other person, and that the Said Samuel Carter and his Heirs, all singular, the promises hereby Bargained and sold with the appertenances, unto the said Isaac Carter his Heirs and afsignes against him the Said Samuel Carter and his Heirs and all and every person and persons Whatsoever Shall Warrant and ever defend by these presents.
In witness whereof the said Samuel Carter hath hereunto set his hand and Seal the day and year first above written.
