State of North Carolina

Know ye that we for and in consideration of the sum of five dollars for every hundred acres hereby granted and paid into our treasury by Elijah Hendrix hath given granted and by these presents do give and grant unto the said Elijah Hendrix a tract of land containing fifty acres lying and being in the county of Wilkes on the waters of Stony Fork. Beginning at the White Oak near Tripletts Camp Branch near the lower end of the bottom and runs North one hundred and twenty four poles to a chestnut then East Seventy five poles to a stake then south one hundred and twenty four poles to a stake then west to the beginning, as by plat hereunto annexed doth appear together with all woodsd water mines minerals hereditarments and appurtenances to the said land belonging or appearing to hold to the said Elijah Hendrix his heirs and assigns forever. Yielding and paying to us such sums of money as our general assembly from time to time may direct; provided always, that the said grantee shall course these grants to be registered in the Register's Office of our said County of Wilkes within twelve month from the date hereof otherwise the same shall be null and void. In testimony whereof we have coused there our letters to be made patent and our great seal to be hereunto affixed. Witness Edward B.
