This deed made this the 24th day of October 1894 fy Martha M. Hendrix heirs to wit: L.F. Hendrix J Julia Hendrix his wif Julia Sanders & C G Sanders her husband S. L. Green Filmore Green N J Bishop R B Bishop of Wilkes County and State of North Carolina of the first part to G. L. Hamby T. E. Hendrix of Wilkes county and State of North Carolina of the second part. Witnesseth: That said parties of the first part for and in consideration of $90 Ninety dollars to them paid by G. L. Hamby the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged hath bargained and sold and by these presents dose bargain sell and convey to said partys of the second part his heirs a certain tract of land in Wilkes County State of North Carolina adjoining the lands of V. H. Hendrix James Hamby and the Dumn lands and others bounded as follows viz: First tract beginnin on a douple baple E. K. Walsh's corner of Jack Dyer track running with the line of said tract crossing the creek south 40 poles to a stake then east 40 poles to a stake then north 80 poles to a spanish oak and hickory then west 80 poles to a stake then 40 poles to a stake in his one line then with said line 40 poles to the beginning second tract supposed to contain 55 fifty-five acres. Beginning on a white pine the conditional corner between E. K. Walsh and Nancy Jane Marley then with the said line to the mouth of a small branch the up Mason Branch to the ford at the mouth of a ditch then northwest to a white oak then palue course to the outside line of Joel Dyers tract then with the line of the first mention track to the maple corner then south to the beginning. the first track begining on a black oak on the mill ridge near the road in the line of the track where Vincen H. Hendrix now lives runs west with said line number of poles not known to the north and south line of 1st track to a stake then north with said line number of poles unknown to the Stony Fork Road then with said road to the Mill Ridge then with said ridge to a lang the road to the beginning. We the aforesaid heirs of Martha Hendrix have sold unto E. L. Hamby and his heirs our entire interest in the 3 three mentioned tracts of land which is four parts out of six and will warrant and defend the same against the other two heirs and all persons.

To have and to hold the aforesaid tracts of parcel of land and all privileges and appertenaces thereof belonging to the said G. L. Hamby and heirs and designs to their only use and behaof forever. And the said parties of the first part cauerrant with said G. L. Hamby his heirs and assigns that they are seized of said forever in fee and hath right to convey the same in fee simple; that the same are free and clear from all incumbrances and that they will warrant and defend the said title to the same against the claims of all persons whomsoever. In testimony whereof the said prties of the first prt hath hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year above written.
