Isaac Carter was born ca 1822 and died May 28, 1899 in Clay Co., North Carolina. He married Martha Ann Wilson Dec. 19, 1844. Isaac fought in the Civil War and served in the Commissary. He was a Methodist Minister. Isaac married Martha Ann Wilson 19 Dec 1844. Martha was b. Nov 8, 1818 in Guilford Co., NC and died Nov 10, 1890 in Clay Co., NC. both are buried in Hayesville Cemetery
